Senior React Frontend Developer (Data)

Location: Hybrid in Harwell, UK; Porto, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; or Athens, Greece. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the chosen location.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain React interfaces for DataCosmos data exploration, visualisation, and delivery.
• Build performant, accessible UI components and reusable frontend architecture for large and complex datasets.
• Integrate APIs and data services with data and backend engineers.
• Optimise frontend performance for high-volume and real-time data.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance on React architecture, state management, data handling, usability, and code quality.

Requirements

• Senior-level frontend development experience with strong React and TypeScript proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, component-based architecture, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience building data-driven interfaces, integrating APIs, and handling asynchronous data flows.
• Experience with state management approaches such as Redux, Zustand, Context, or similar, plus data visualisation libraries such as D3 or Recharts.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimisation, CI/CD, cloud-native environments, Git, and collaborative development.
• Legal right to work in the selected UK, Portugal, Spain, or Greece location. CV must be submitted in English.
