Senior Software Engineer (React)

Location: Cardiff, UK, in a hybrid model with 2 remote days per week. Applicants must be legally authorized to reside and work in the UK; international relocation and remote work outside the UK are not considered.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain React user interfaces for tools that manage complex physical access-control technologies.
• Work with UX teams, designers, product managers, and developers to deliver effective user experiences.
• Build responsive interfaces and scalable UI components using modern frontend technologies.
• Integrate REST and third-party APIs, including webhooks for real-time data updates.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, debugging, and high-quality engineering standards.
• Optimize application performance and support maintainable client-side architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience focused on React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, CSS, SCSS, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with UI libraries such as Radix UI or shadcn/ui, React Router, and TanStack Query.
• Experience writing React unit tests and using Playwright or Cypress for integration and end-to-end testing.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Legal eligibility to reside and work in the UK; immigration sponsorship is not available.
