Software Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid, based at the Edinburgh or Leeds office, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time onsite

Salary: £42,744–£53,430 per year

What you will do

• Build and enhance user-facing applications that improve analyst workflows, case management, and insider risk investigations.
• Design and develop detection capabilities and software solutions for identifying potential insider risk events.
• Support backend services, APIs, and integrations underpinning data-driven applications.
• Explore emerging technologies and third-party solutions, automate processes, and apply modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders while contributing to innovation initiatives, hackathons, and technical communities.

Requirements

• Experience developing high-quality, reusable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Experience building web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Java.
• Experience integrating APIs into modern, data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving, technical delivery, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Interest in data analysis and using data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.

Nice to have

• Experience with responsible AI and machine learning use, Infrastructure as Code, Git, complex SQL, CI/CD, Scrum, Kanban, Docker, or Kubernetes.
