TL;DR
Propulsion Technician - Assembly (Aerospace): Building, assembling, maintaining, and testing Rutherford and Curie engines and Electron stages at the Test Complex with an accent on mechanical and electrical production, cleanroom standards, and hazardous equipment safety. Focus on completing final propulsion assembly, performing acceptance and qualification testing, identifying deviations, and supporting facility maintenance and upgrades.
Location: Waikato, New Zealand; onsite work at the Test Complex and launch facilities.

What you will do
- Complete final assembly, testing, and maintenance activities for Rutherford and Curie engines and Electron stages.
- Perform acceptance, qualification, and occasional development testing at the Test Complex.
- Work hands-on with tools, equipment, and facilities to build, launch, and test launch vehicles and components.
- Support facility maintenance, upgrades, and new propulsion projects.
- Take primary responsibility in Engine Test, Stage Test, or Propulsion Assembly while collaborating across WorkCentres.
- Identify and communicate deviations while supporting product quality, safety, and production schedules.
Requirements
- Trade-qualified with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Mechanical or electrical assembly trade certificate.
- Industry experience in mechanical and electrical production or maintenance activities.
- Ability to follow processes accurately and inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard.
- Experience using PPE and following safety processes around hazardous equipment and environments.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments, including oxygen-service cleanliness requirements.

- Computer literacy and comfort using smartphones and tablets.
