TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Robotics) (AWS/Kubernetes/Terraform): Building and operating infrastructure for robotic systems across cloud platforms, robotics middleware, simulation, machine learning, and physical hardware with an accent on scalable infrastructure, automated deployments, and observability. Focus on managing Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, deploying updates across robot fleets, supporting simulation and ML infrastructure, and improving reliability and security in production.

What you will do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and develop CI/CD pipelines for robotics software, embedded applications, and machine learning workflows.
  • Automate software deployment across development robots, test environments, and production fleets.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, containerized services, build systems, artifact repositories, and release processes.
  • Monitor infrastructure and application performance, improve reliability, security, disaster recovery, and cloud cost efficiency.
  • Partner with robotics, firmware, and ML teams on reproducible development environments, simulation infrastructure, incident response, and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong Linux administration skills and experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Buildkite.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, authentication, distributed systems, and production troubleshooting.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, embedded software, or fleets of physical devices.
  • Experience with GPU infrastructure, ML training clusters, NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, or distributed training systems.
  • Experience supporting simulation environments, large binary assets, artifact repositories, edge computing, or IoT deployments.
  • Knowledge of software supply chain security and SBOMs.
