Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development (P&C Insurance Production Underwriter - Senior Living)

Location: Remote within the United States Eastern Time Zone, with regular travel to agency partners throughout the Northeast and at least 25 agency visits per year. Heavy travel and extended stays may be required.

Salary: $112,000–$209,000 annually. Expected starting range: $112,000–$168,000.

What you will do

• Market, manage, quote, price, and underwrite new and renewal commercial Middle Market policies for complex Senior Living accounts.
• Monitor market conditions, competitive risks, underwriting performance, agency books, profitability, and growth trends.
• Develop and execute agency and territory business plans to drive premium, profit, new sales, retention, and pipeline growth.
• Build relationships with agencies, brokers, producers, internal partners, and key industry groups through consultations and agency visits.
• Advise on appetite, coverage, pricing, terms, conditions, risk management, sales strategies, and business solutions.
• Coordinate underwriting teams, service plans, training, workflow, reporting, and delivery against service-level expectations.

Requirements

• Must be based within the United States Eastern Time Zone.
• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience, including underwriting authority.
• Senior Living industry-specific underwriting experience is required.
• Strong business development, production, sales, and agency management skills.
• Seven years of progressively responsible commercial underwriting and sales experience is preferred; highly competitive candidates have at least five years handling Senior Living accounts.
• Knowledge of Middle Market underwriting, pricing, coverage, commercial products, state regulations, and underwriting standards; a valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Strong Casualty underwriting experience, including General Liability, Professional Liability, and Abuse & Molestation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• CPCU, CIC, or another relevant professional designation.
