Enterprise Security Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Implement and optimize security controls for networks, systems, endpoints, applications, and cloud platforms.
• Lead integration of SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, IAM, and vulnerability-management platforms.
• Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits.
• Provide architectural guidance during incident response, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and cyber-resilience initiatives.
• Mentor cybersecurity engineers and collaborate with IT, engineering, operations, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, cloud security, or related IT disciplines.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing security architectures or leading cybersecurity engineering initiatives.
• Experience with enterprise security controls, security frameworks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of zero trust, threat modeling, network and infrastructure security, IAM, application security, DevSecOps, and security automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or GIAC.
• Experience in large-scale or regulated environments, including aerospace, defense, government, financial services, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, security audits, and highly available security architecture.
