Manager, Software Engineering (MANTL)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the US for full-time employment

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Activations engineering team responsible for helping new clients reach production.
• Guide integrations with client core-provider APIs, check-ordering services, ACH transfers, and digital account-opening workflows.
• Set team direction, roadmap priorities, delivery outcomes, and technical decision-making processes.
• Coach and develop engineers through feedback, performance discussions, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Design and review systems while contributing production-grade code to resolve complex problems.
• Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into technical plans and monitor quality, reliability, and platform health.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong hands-on technical foundation.
• 2+ years in a technology leadership role, including experience building and leading strong teams.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, Python, API development, event-driven systems, and relational databases such as Postgres.
• Strong system design, architecture, REST API, backend-service, and microservice-style architecture skills.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, turn product requirements into clear technical plans, and align stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to work in the US; employment sponsorship is not available.
