IP and Technology Transactions Attorney

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $250,000–$325,000, plus variable year-end compensation.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate data and software license agreements.
• Handle technology, purchase, service, and consulting agreements.
• Advise financial and technology-oriented businesses on intellectual property matters and related legal issues.
• Manage competing priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Law degree and an impressive record of academic achievement.
• At least four years of experience in-house and/or at a law firm; more senior candidates, including those with 15+ years of experience, are encouraged to apply.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts.
• Experience advising on intellectual property issues and contract interpretation.
• Strong analytical, drafting, communication, organizational, and judgment skills, with keen attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with commercial software and financial and/or market data licenses.
• Experience with open source software and/or generative artificial intelligence issues.
