TL;DR
AIT Engineer (Spacecraft Assembly, Integration & Test): Developing and executing spacecraft AIT plans, integrating mechanical, electrical, and payload systems, and conducting functional, environmental, and performance testing with an accent on spacecraft interfaces, harnesses, documentation, and quality processes. Focus on analyzing test results, troubleshooting integration anomalies, preparing satellites for launch campaigns, and validating hardware through vibration and thermal vacuum testing.

Location: Onsite in Athens, Greece. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Greece.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test plans and procedures.
  • Lead mechanical assembly, electrical integration, payload integration, and subsystem validation.
  • Define and support functional, environmental, and performance test campaigns, including vibration and thermal vacuum testing.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot anomalies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions with subsystem engineers.
  • Prepare and maintain AIT procedures, test reports, configuration records, and engineering documentation.
  • Support launch campaign preparation, final functional verification, deployer or launch adapter integration, and continuous improvement of AIT processes and tooling.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems and subsystem integration.
  • Ability to develop and execute integration and test procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical spacecraft interfaces, harnessing, and subsystem integration.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, interface control documents, engineering drawings, and test results.
  • Understanding of environmental testing, configuration management, cleanroom, ESD, and quality assurance processes.
