What you will do
- Provide analytical, fact-based decision support for vessel performance monitoring and optimization.
- Create and maintain theoretical performance and hydrodynamic models covering weather conditions, hull fouling, propulsion efficiency, and onboard energy management.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, follow up on results, and maintain KPIs and fuel tables.
- Monitor and execute vessel optimization projects efficiently.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support daily department services.
Requirements
- Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with vessel optimization, data capture and modeling, reporting, customer support, vessel performance, and fuel tables.
- Familiarity with Python, R, BI or Tableau, Matlab, and Java for developing and supporting fuel models.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to advise customers and colleagues on vessel hydrodynamics, fuel models, vessel performance, and optimization.
