Location: Onsite at the Auckland, New Zealand facility. Domestic and international travel of up to 10% may be required. New Zealand roles require eligibility to access equipment and data regulated by U.S. ITAR.

What you will do
- Build and manage a procurement team responsible for aluminum, composites, and 3D-printed materials.
- Own direct-material purchasing for production demand, rapid engineering development, and launch and space programs.
- Develop global commodity strategies focused on cost, quality, delivery, and business growth.
- Negotiate supplier pricing, develop bottom-up cost models, and influence engineering design direction.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance scorecards, dispute resolution, quarterly business reviews, and sourcing partnerships.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, accounting, business leadership, and supply chain teams while maintaining accurate ERP procurement and planning data.
Requirements
- 8+ years of purchasing experience, including management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 12+ years of total work experience where applicable.
- Experience sourcing suppliers, onboarding them, and negotiating pricing agreements.
- Ability to define team strategy and build operating plans for long-term goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
- For New Zealand employment, eligibility to access equipment and data regulated by U.S. ITAR is required; nationality checks and background checks will be conducted.
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
- Experience in a rapid-growth environment.
- Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls, including ITAR and EAR.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
