Senior Software Engineer (Real-time Collaborative Platform – Full Stack)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site. Only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of a scalable real-time collaboration platform with multi-user editing, conflict resolution, and distributed state synchronization.
• Develop interactive data storytelling features, including dynamic charts, maps, visualizations, and data-driven content embedded in reports.
• Design scalable microservices and APIs for high-concurrency workloads, focusing on performance, reliability, and consistency.
• Manage data platforms and orchestration pipelines to maintain reliable data flow and system stability.
• Mentor engineers, lead architectural decisions, and improve code quality and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and end-users while exploring AI-assisted proofreading, metadata tagging, reference validation, and agent-based workflows.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience and a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Fullstack web development experience with React, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MinIO.
• Backend or frontend expertise, such as Java/Spring Boot or React/TypeScript, with the ability to learn new technologies.
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, object storage, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Git, Kubernetes, and cloud application operations.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, scalable service development, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience leading agile teams or mentoring engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebSockets, Operational Transformation, or rich-text engine customization.
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features, agent-based workflows, or automation tools.
• Familiarity with Vite, Nx, monorepos, observability tools, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, or similar graph and search technologies.
