Principal Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Delhi NCR, India; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

• Design and implement modules for ingesting, storing, and manipulating large datasets for cybersecurity use cases.
• Build backend support for data-driven UI widgets, web dashboards, workflows, search, and API connectors.
• Design and implement web services, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Deliver production-quality solutions that balance complexity with functional requirements.
• Collaborate with ML, UI, backend, data engineering, threat research, and network expert teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience and a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expert programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
• Experience with time-series databases such as InfluxDB, Druid, or Prometheus.
• Excellent algorithm, programming, testing, communication, documentation, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with search engine databases such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience working across data engineering, frontend, product management, and DevOps teams.
