Software Developer - Data Pipelines (Python)

What you will do

• Take ownership of an expanding estate of data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Design, implement, test, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines, frameworks, and services.
• Propose and contribute to abstractions and improvements that increase team throughput and code quality.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to onboard new datasets and develop effective data models.
• Lead production support operations during normal working hours.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Python development experience with high coding standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject.
• Working knowledge of SQL and at least one common relational database system, primarily PostgreSQL.
• Practical knowledge of data transfer protocols and tools such as FTP, SFTP, HTTP APIs, and AWS S3.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data frameworks, databases, distributed systems, or cloud development.
• Experience with C++, kdb+/q, or Rust.
