Software Developer - Data Reliability

What you will do

• Build observability tooling, configurable monitors, and custom health checks for data development infrastructure.
• Develop automation and job orchestration systems for operational workflows and production workloads at scale.
• Build Jira-driven self-service automation that executes operational requests end to end.
• Onboard datasets from external vendors and develop scalable data pipelines and frameworks.
• Own deployments, support users, plan capacity and performance, and lead incident resolution through root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with quant researchers, traders, engineers, and external data vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, software reliability, or a similar role.
• 3+ years of hands-on Python programming experience and familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Proficiency with the Linux command line, SQL, and relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL.
• Practical knowledge of data transfer protocols and tools, including SFTP, HTTP APIs, and cloud object storage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented, self-driven approach and strong ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or similar observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience developing automation tooling and implementing configuration management.
• Experience with Google Cloud or AWS.
• Experience operating job orchestration or workload scheduling systems at scale.
