Sr. Engineer - Cribl

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India; reporting to the Bangalore office 3 days per week. Working hours include 2pm to 11pm shifts and on-call support.

What you will do

• Design and deploy scalable Cribl Worker Groups and Leader Nodes across multi-cloud and on-premise environments.
• Configure Cribl Edge fleet management and integrate data sources such as Syslog, HEC, Kafka, AWS S3, CloudWatch, Azure Event Hubs, and APIs.
• Build pipelines with Regex, JavaScript, and Cribl functions to parse, filter, enrich, mask, and obfuscate machine data.
• Implement data reduction and normalize logs into CIM or OCSF to optimize SIEM and observability costs.
• Monitor infrastructure health, manage GitOps-based configuration versioning, and perform upgrades and patches.
• Collaborate with SOC and DevOps teams on replay strategies, dashboards, alerts, data flows, and license usage.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with Cribl; familiarity with Cribl Edge, Cribl Search, and Cribl Lake is valuable.
• Experience with JavaScript, Regex, and at least one downstream tool such as Splunk, CrowdStrike NGS, Exabeam, or Google SecOps.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, Docker/Kubernetes, networking protocols, and TLS.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP storage and compute services, including S3, Lambda, or EC2.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines; Terraform or Ansible experience is preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in observability, data engineering, or security operations, plus a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience. Professional English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Cribl Certified Observability Engineer or Cribl Stream User/Admin certification.
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible.
