Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead large-scale technical projects and evolve early-stage products.
• Own and operate Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure using the Porter orchestrator.
• Enforce Kubernetes best practices including resource management, autoscaling, and health checks.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and safe delivery.
• Tune deployments for zero-downtime releases and high availability.
• Contribute to observability, alerting, and incident response practices.

Requirements

Location: Must be based in Montreal, Bangalore, New York Metropolitan Area, or San Francisco Bay Area

• 8-12 years of deep expertise in Kubernetes production operations.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale.
• Demonstrated hunger to learn modern data engineering and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize queries for performance and cost.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset for taking systems from design through operation.

Nice to have

• Experience with cross-region and multi-tenant architecture.
• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, or modern data stack tools like dbt and Snowflake.
• Background in fintech or regulated environments (PCI DSS, SOC 2).
