Senior Technical Implementation Specialist (Healthcare IT)

Location: Remote, Greater Toronto Area

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience and expertise. Additional equity through stock options and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical implementations of the imaging platform across healthcare environments.
• Design and deploy scalable, secure integrations with PACS, EHR, and HL7 interfaces.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving DICOM, HL7, VPNs, and secure image routing.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to improve the platform based on customer and field insights.
• Act as an escalation point for advanced implementation and support issues.
• Mentor junior technical services engineers and improve internal tools, automation, monitoring, documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical services, implementation engineering, or healthcare IT support, ideally in medical imaging.
• Advanced knowledge of DICOM, HL7, radiology, and clinical workflows.
• Hands-on experience with PACS/RIS systems, modality configuration, and Mirth Connect.
• Strong independent problem-solving skills for high-priority technical issues.
• Experience with Linux, scripting languages such as Bash or Python, and APIs.
• Understanding of healthcare data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA, PHIPA, and SOC 2.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based imaging platforms, teleradiology, or interoperability tools such as FHIR and IHE.
• Experience with major PACS/RIS vendors, including GE, Sectra, Philips, or Change.
• Certifications in DICOM, HL7, CIIP, or other healthcare IT standards.
