Manufacturing Technician III Mechanic (night shift)

Location: USA — Ohio — West Chester; onsite night shift, 6:00pm–6:30am on a 2/2/3 schedule

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment, including pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection systems, palletizers, stretch-wrappers, and conveyors.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, startup, recipe selection and configuration, manual packaging, batch execution, material handling, cleaning, and line clearance.
• Provide first-line technical support to production technicians and collaborate with technical resources to resolve equipment issues.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, CMMS entries, equipment qualification protocols, and process validation activities.
• Monitor equipment and material conditions, investigate abnormalities, and prevent unplanned downtime.
• Lead basic equipment problem-solving, train and evaluate team members, and support 5S, OEE, LEAN, and other continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Prior experience maintaining and supporting equipment performance in a regulated production environment.
• Ability to understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical documents and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and maintenance materials.
• Ability to work effectively in a changing and demanding environment, with occasional overtime and minimal advance notice.
• High school or vocational school graduation or equivalent; an associate degree in engineering or a mechanical trade qualification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated equipment and training in mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP.
• Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
