Sr. Manager, Direct Procurement (Hardware)

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work onsite there during the first two weeks of onboarding. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and develop a growing team responsible for direct hardware sourcing and supplier management.
• Develop procurement strategies for complex hardware systems, equipment, components, assemblies, and manufacturing systems.
• Run RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, qualification, segmentation, selection, and performance management processes.
• Negotiate strategic supplier agreements and long-term supply partnerships.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Legal, and Program Management to align sourcing with technical requirements and development schedules.
• Identify supply-chain risks, support cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives, and build scalable procurement systems and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, or related functions.
• Experience sourcing complex hardware, equipment, manufacturing systems, or highly engineered products.
• Experience leading procurement, sourcing, or supply-chain teams and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier operations, technical drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility under applicable U.S. export-control laws are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, energy, industrial equipment, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with ASME, NQA-1, or other regulated quality environments.
• Experience with new product introduction, first-of-a-kind systems, production scale-up, cost analysis, should-cost modeling, or capacity planning.
• Experience building procurement processes in a high-growth hardware organization.
