Senior Buyer II

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Auckland, New Zealand facility

hirify.global is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems for launch and satellite missions.

What you will do

• Source materials by evaluating supplier capability, pricing, delivery requirements, and performance.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Lead RFQ processes and negotiate supplier terms to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with Engineering and provide R&D order-status updates.
• Keep material planners informed about purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
• Maintain accurate purchase-order data in the ERP system.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with 12+ years total experience.
• Demonstrated ability to source suppliers, onboard vendors, and negotiate pricing.
• Proven knowledge of purchasing processes.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• For the New Zealand role, eligibility to access equipment and data regulated by U.S. ITAR is required; nationality checks and background checks will be conducted.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with MRP systems.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapidly growing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls.
