New Ventures Associate (Healthcare)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; hybrid with onsite work 3–4 days per week at the Cedars-Sinai office

What you will do

• Research healthcare markets and evaluate commercial opportunities for new or scalable venture-backed companies.
• Build competitive landscapes, market analyses, financial models, and investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and digital health.
• Apply hirify.global scoring frameworks and venture-building methodologies to prioritize opportunities and direct unsuitable ideas to appropriate channels.
• Support the Cedars-Sinai Digital Innovation Platform by engaging internal stakeholders, identifying opportunity zones, and developing an end-to-end evaluation-to-execution process.
• Source, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with founders; connect them with clinicians, healthcare stakeholders, resources, and ecosystem partners.
• Guide venture development and help launch at least one new healthcare company annually.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in venture capital, early-stage investing, startups, banking, private equity, consulting, strategy, research, or a related field.
• Healthcare or digital health exposure is preferred, with the ability to develop original investment theses.
• Fluency in business model analysis, primary and secondary research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic excellence.
• Strong analytical judgment, commercial curiosity, concise communication, and the ability to explain complex findings to senior leaders and investment committees.
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles 3–4 days per week and operate effectively with clinicians, health system executives, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.
