Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Krakow Office, Poland; primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings required

What you will do

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs in Python using Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
• Analyze requirements, propose solutions, create spikes and proofs of concept, and deliver production-grade software.
• Support, optimize, and maintain solutions to meet service-level objectives.
• Own solutions across architecture, coding, quality assurance, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
• Collaborate through pull request reviews, RFCs, ADRs, agile ceremonies, and daily work with product, sales, and customer success teams.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional Python development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and Celery.
• Experience building highly available software with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS, including Kubernetes, IAM, and S3.
• Strong foundations in algorithms and data structures, plus expertise in profiling and performance optimization across code, databases, and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts in an English-speaking environment and willingness to attend occasional face-to-face meetings.

Nice to have

• Data engineering background or interest, with familiarity with NumPy, pandas, or Polars.
• Experience with TDD or BDD.
