What you will do

• Research and write news, market insight, and commentary stories for online publication and the weekly digital edition.
• Report on Asia’s shipping, shipbuilding, ship finance, and trade sectors.
• Build a network of contacts across business, government, and civil society.
• Report accurately and quickly to deadline and required editorial standards.
• Cover industry events, press conferences, site visits, and travel opportunities.
• Assist with editing, publishing, social media promotion, and conferences and events.

Requirements

• Experience as a reporter, with strong news-writing and business-reporting skills.
• Ability to produce accurate, timely, and adaptable editorial content.
• Experience with digital editing and publishing.
• Ability to develop relevant industry contacts and work independently.
• Must be based in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of international insurance markets.
• Business reporting experience in trade, commodities, technology, or finance.
• Experience with analytics, audio or video content, live events, or online events.
• Additional language skills, particularly Chinese.
