What you will do

• Write and curate CNBC International’s Beyond the Valley newsletter with sharp insights and analysis.
• Report on major technology themes including AI, big tech, startups, fintech, venture capital, and regulation.
• Cultivate and maintain sources among founders, executives, investors, and policymakers to deliver scoops.
• Produce explainers, interviews, and features that clarify complex tech stories for global audiences.
• Collaborate with TV and social teams to amplify tech coverage across platforms.
• Use analytics and audience insights to shape coverage that supports subscription growth.

Requirements

• Proven ability to break news and develop sources within the tech sector.
• Excellent writing skills to make complex technology and business issues accessible and engaging.
• Familiarity with APAC’s tech ecosystem, including major companies, startups, and regulators.
• Strong understanding of major tech players and their growing influence (e.g., Meta, OpenAI).
• Strong news judgment for stories that resonate with global business and investor audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom and collaborate across teams and time zones.
