Tech Reporter, CNBC International (Technology Journalism): Reporting and analyzing major technology developments across APAC, Europe, and the Middle East, with an accent on breaking news, authoritative analysis, and exclusive sources. Focus on writing newsletters, explainers, interviews, and features, collaborating across TV and social platforms, and using audience insights to shape global business coverage.

What you will do
- Write and curate CNBC International’s Beyond the Valley newsletter with sharp analysis of major global and regional technology developments.
- Report breaking news and develop authoritative coverage of technology companies, startups, fintech, venture capital, regulation, and AI across APAC, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Build and maintain sources among founders, executives, investors, and policymakers to deliver original scoops and agenda-setting journalism.
- Produce explainers, interviews, features, and other formats that make complex technology and business issues accessible.
- Collaborate with TV, social, and audience teams to expand coverage across platforms.
- Use analytics and audience insights to shape coverage and support subscriber growth.
Requirements
- Proven ability to break news and develop sources within the technology sector.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to explain complex technology and business issues clearly.
- Familiarity with the APAC technology ecosystem, including major companies, startups, and regulators.
- Strong understanding of major technology companies such as Meta and OpenAI and their global influence.
- Strong news judgment and an understanding of stories relevant to global business and investor audiences.
- Knowledge of digital publishing, newsletters, social media best practices, and collaborative newsroom work across teams and time zones.
Nice to have
- 1–3 years of experience reporting on business or technology.
- Experience with multiplatform work involving TV and audience teams.
- Experience producing chart-driven stories, deep dives, and data visualizations.
