Legal Counsel, EMEA (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin, Germany — Hybrid. Must be legally authorized to work in Germany.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS and technology agreements, including MSAs, SLAs, DPAs, NDAs, EULAs, reseller agreements, and customer contracts.
• Advise sales, customer success, partnerships, procurement, product, engineering, security, HR, finance, and leadership teams on commercial and regulatory matters.
• Advise on GDPR, privacy, cybersecurity, e-commerce, AI-enabled functionality, cloud services, APIs, integrations, and product launches across EMEA.
• Assess and mitigate contractual and legal risk, including escalations, fallback language, and negotiation strategy.
• Develop legal templates, playbooks, clause libraries, workflows, policies, and scalable contracting processes.
• Deliver internal training and coordinate with external counsel on jurisdiction-specific matters.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction.
• Approximately 5–10 years of legal experience in technology, SaaS, commercial law, in-house, or private practice environments.
• Strong experience negotiating complex commercial, SaaS, technology, data protection, and partner or reseller agreements.
• Solid working knowledge of GDPR and privacy requirements across EMEA.
• Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice and manage stakeholders and competing priorities in a multinational environment.
• Fluent English and legal authorization to work in Germany required.
