Software Engineer - Backend - Partner Experience (Java/Kotlin)

What you will do

• Conceptualize, define, and develop the partner and developer experience platform.
• Design and evolve REST APIs, MCP tools, and customizable components for internal products and partner integrations.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable microservice architecture.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical RFCs across the engineering group.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers in a cross-functional team.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production services, including unit, integration, and E2E testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Experience building testable, maintainable, scalable, and extensible architectures.
• Knowledge of distributed architecture patterns and anti-patterns.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, including authentication and authorization.
• Proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with MCP server development, agentic AI throughout software development, and test automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with event-driven architecture systems and patterns.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems, preferably in the financial sector.
• Exposure to frontend development with React.
