What you will do

• Design and implement complex, scalable system architectures while mentoring team members.
• Lead code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Optimize database performance and design robust data solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Architect and maintain high-volume messaging systems using Kafka.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to ensure system reliability.
• Facilitate technical discussions across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Poland, Bulgaria, or Romania.
• Extensive production experience with Java and deep understanding of JVM internals.
• Strong system design capabilities and architectural ownership.
• Advanced knowledge of relational database principles and PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Solid grasp of messaging concepts and Kafka ecosystem.
• English: Upper-intermediate proficiency required.
