Senior Software Engineer (Java, AWS, DynamoDB)

hirify.global develops global payment processing products and operates a payment gateway for enabling payment methods and processing transactions.

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and maintain the main payment processing engine exposed through the hirify.global API.
• Own products and services end to end, from design through production rollout.
• Operate services with a “you build it, you run it” mindset and potentially participate in on-call rotation.
• Design scalable, reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and auditable payment processing solutions.
• Collaborate through pair programming, ADRs, RFCs, knowledge sharing, and agile teamwork.
• Reduce customer integration effort and the time required to enable new payment methods.

Requirements

• Experience designing and building scalable products and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex problems into deliverable pieces.
• Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven microservice architecture.
• AWS experience, including EKS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and OpenSearch.
• Working proficiency in English and willingness to work onsite in Berlin 3 days per week.
