Senior Java Development Engineer (all genders)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions and cloud-based services for leisure travel.
• Build technology used by leading tour operators and travel agencies.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, conduct feasibility studies, and recommend implementation approaches.
• Develop maintainable Java code, design and optimize databases, and follow engineering standards.
• Perform unit, integration, and performance testing while supporting production issue resolution.
• Contribute to solution design, documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with Product Management and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Java development.
• Experience designing and developing scalable software solutions.
• Experience with database design and optimization.
• Experience with software testing and production issue resolution.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Herzogenrath, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience in Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering workflows and software delivery practices.
