Project HSE Coordinator (Energy/Construction)

Location: London, with domestic and international travel for up to 50% of the time and 7 days of remote working per month.

What you will do

• Ensure HSE activities at construction sites comply with applicable UK laws and regulations, client requirements and hirify.global HSE management systems.
• Support Project HSE Managers in maintaining and improving HSE standards across UK construction sites.
• Support accident and incident investigations, analyze statistics, identify trends and recommend site-level improvement plans.
• Conduct HSE inspections and audits at UK sites and subcontractor locations, prepare reports and follow up on findings.
• Develop and coordinate UK safety training, inductions and behavioral safety initiatives for employees, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support tender documentation and UK cable repair projects, coordinating local teams and implementing HSE policies, procedures and actions.

Requirements

• Proven health and safety experience and behavioral standards within projects in the energy or construction sectors.
• Recognized professional health and safety qualification, such as a degree or NEBOSH qualification at a level appropriate to the criticality of the role.
• IOSH or TechIOSH certification and membership of a relevant professional body.
• Engineering degree.
• Knowledge of the ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 series standards.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, people management, influencing and organizational skills.
• Driver's license.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 50% of the time.
• Mental Health First Aider qualification or capability.

Nice to have

• Lead auditor qualification.
• Investigation course such as TapRoot, Kelvin Top Set or equivalent.
