Associate Director, Business Optimization - Payments (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City, hybrid with an expectation of working onsite three days per week. Remote work from abroad is available for up to 30 days per year.

What you will do

• Establish and oversee partnerships with acquirers, issuers, card schemes, and local payment methods.
• Manage and develop a small team responsible for specific partner relationships.
• Analyze declines, conversion rates, and other performance data for each partner.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Support, Technical, Risk, and Partnerships teams to resolve payment performance issues.
• Develop strategies and launch products or features that improve transaction ahirify.globalval and authorization rates.
• Use A/B testing and partner insights to optimize payment acceptance in local markets.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an MBA is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the payment lifecycle and card scheme regulations.
• Experience with tokenization, 3DS, and smart routing.
• Proven ability to build strategies with issuers, acquirers, and local payment methods.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
