TL;DR
Risk Analyst (Fintech): Managing credit risk and driving profitability across the credit card portfolio with an accent on risk decision-making processes and ML/AI model integration. Focus on developing NPV models, designing analytical frameworks for reporting, and validating hypotheses to optimize product conditions.
Location: Hybrid or Onsite in Mexico. Relocation support is provided.
What you will do
- Manage and improve Credit Card risk strategy and limit policies using ML & AI models to maximize profitability.
- Develop and manage the product's NPV model.
- Collaborate with business departments on origination processes, tariffs, and acquisition channel profitability.
- Design, test, and validate hypotheses to analyze feature impact and process dependencies.
- Build scalable analytical frameworks and tools for comprehensive reporting.
Requirements
- 1+ year of professional experience in risk or product analytics.
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with analytical scripting languages (Python or R).
- Understanding of basic machine learning concepts, mathematical statistics, and probabilities.
- English: B1 or higher required for effective communication with an international team.
- Location: Must be based in or relocate to Mexico.
Nice to have
- Understanding of retail risk management principles, including adverse selection and vintage/portfolio analysis.
- Knowledge of credit card unit economics and key product metrics.
- Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Understanding of advanced machine learning concepts and approaches.
