Principal Cyber Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site at a customer location in Columbia, Maryland, United States; up to 10% domestic travel.

Salary: $183,600–$221,600 USD annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, integrate, and support enterprise Cross Domain solutions for U.S. Government customers.
• Use Linux and scripting to enable secure data transfer and resolve customer-driven technical requirements.
• Analyze requirements, design integrated solutions, implement hirify.global and third-party technologies, and integrate tools across disciplines.
• Perform formal security and functional testing, troubleshoot Linux-based systems, and validate interoperability.
• Design and implement failover capabilities across complex network environments.
• Provide customer briefings, training, troubleshooting, and on-site or remote mission support.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• 8+ years of experience in a cyber engineering role supporting enterprise software solutions.
• Strong Linux and scripting experience, with working knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, and related networking concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to customers and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or an equivalent field.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United States; certain positions may require U.S. Person status under ITAR or EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience designing security architectures for Cross Domain Solutions.
• Experience with virtualized and networked environments or security COTS product integration.
• SANS GSEC, CISSP, or DoDI 8570.1-M compliance at IAT Level I.
• Experience preparing documentation for Assessment and Authorization activities.
• Knowledge of Information Assurance policies and secure-solution architecture.
