Location: Remote within the United States, limited to CO, CT, Washington, D.C., DE, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, MO, NC, NV, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, WA, and WI.

Base salary: $108,544.10–$126,087.50 USD, $124,050.40–$144,100 USD, or $139,556.70–$162,112.50 USD depending on geographic tier.

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects end-to-end from design through production release, including ambiguous initiatives.
• Build and maintain scalable services, components, APIs, and distributed systems with responsibility for code quality and reliability.
• Integrate LLM APIs and AI-enhanced capabilities into technical interview preparation products.
• Develop AI-assisted tooling and automations for newsletter workflows, Discord integrations, and candidate-facing resources.
• Manage community operations, including Discord moderation, member engagement, and study groups.
• Identify community needs, design solutions, and ship products independently as the program’s sole engineer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping web applications or distributed systems to production.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, especially Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Ruby, with comfort across the stack and in API design.
• Experience with system architecture, database design, cloud infrastructure, and deployment technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs or AI-enhanced product features.
• Ability to deliver projects independently from problem identification through a high-quality shipped solution.
• Active technical community involvement and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building community-facing technical products or tooling, such as Discord bots, automation workflows, or developer portals.
