Process Engineer Co-op (ClimateTech)

Location: On-site in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. This is an 8–12 month co-op starting in September 2026. Relocation support is provided, including four weeks of company-paid accommodation.

Salary: CAD 22–26 per hour

What you will do

• Support engineering projects from early design through construction and commissioning.
• Prepare and update process deliverables, including heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, instrument lists, and equipment lists.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations for equipment, valves, piping, and system analyses.
• Participate in process hazard assessments, including HAZOP and What-If analyses.
• Support plant modifications through the Management of Change process and audit documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Technical Development, external engineering partners, vendors, and fabricators, and present technical results to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and in the second, third, or fourth year of study.
• Preference for students studying Chemical Engineering or an equivalent B.Eng. program.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.
• Comfort working in a chemical or plant environment.
• Ability to demonstrate a positive safety culture and report and address unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Explorer mindset and willingness to tackle unfamiliar engineering problems.
