Staff Physician (MD/DO) (100% Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States only. Employees must reside in or be able to work from a state where Vida is registered. International work is prohibited, and applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $210,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide virtual patient care, prescribe medications, create and monitor treatment plans, and support follow-up.
• Order, interpret, and explain laboratory tests while educating patients about medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Use remote-monitoring protocols to contact patients, prescribe rescue medications when needed, and refer higher-acuity cases to specialized or emergency care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation while following Vida and client protocols.
• Provide clinical training, oversight, mentorship, feedback, and real-time support to NPs, PAs, and MAs.
• Support clinical staff hiring, audits, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license in 10–15 or more U.S. states.
• Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine; other specialties may be considered, with preference for a completed internal medicine residency.
• Ability to obtain board certification in obesity management from the American Board of Obesity Medicine as soon as practicable.
• Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff and working with patients and clinical providers in an integrated setting.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, conflict-management, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and digital technology; ability to work independently with accountability for defined goals.

Nice to have

• Experience treating CHF, COPD, diabetes, or obesity.
• Previous experience with quality assurance and quality improvement practices.
• Experience working in a rapidly changing startup environment.
