Senior Engineer Operational Excellence (Biotech)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and visualizations, and automate KPI reporting while ensuring data integrity.
• Analyze operational data and process variation to identify trends, deviations, and leading indicators of performance issues.
• Apply Statistical Process Control and Quality Control methods to improve process stability.
• Execute Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Track operational issues, risks, and improvement opportunities, and support prioritization with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Software, and Product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in process engineering, operations, or continuous improvement, ideally in biotech, diagnostics, or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with SPC, QC tools, and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience in NGS, clinical laboratory operations, or diagnostics workflows; regulated-environment experience with CLIA, CAP, or FDA is preferred.
