Sr. Opex Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Jayuya, Puerto Rico; onsite at the manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Lead site performance improvement initiatives through the Growth and Performance System (GPS) and support operational excellence maturity targets.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Leadership, global, and divisional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Lead the Margin Improvement Program and deliver annual cost savings, efficiency, and productivity targets.
• Coach cross-functional teams on Lean/Six Sigma tools, including root cause analysis, process mapping, and statistical problem-solving.
• Support the Site Strategic Plan, Lean Daily Management System, KPI implementation, performance tracking, and governance processes.
• Reduce waste, improve cycle times, optimize production and business processes, lead Lean training, and support cGMP, FDA, EHS, and external standards compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, or a related environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing improvement projects from concept through execution.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, FDA, and EHS regulations.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and process improvement methodologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma certification at Green Belt or Black Belt level.
