Satellite Operations Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Tukwila, Washington; must be willing to work from Tukwila

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 per year, plus 0.01%–0.05% equity

hirify.global develops Otter satellite servicing missions for satellite life extension and disposal, serving customers including SES, the U.S. Space Force, the Space Development Agency, and NASA.

What you will do

• Operate spacecraft directly from the console during satellite servicing missions.
• Upload commands and monitor vehicle telemetry.
• Support autonomous rendezvous, proximity operations, and in-orbit docking.
• Build software that improves satellite operations and enables operational scalability.
• Help establish efficient and reliable satellite operations practices.

Requirements

• Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable ITAR requirements.
• Must be willing to work from Tukwila, Washington, in a hybrid arrangement.
• Education or experience in software development.
• Working knowledge of Python and C++.
• B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with numerical simulations.
• Relevant professional experience; candidates with 0+ years of experience are considered.
