Research Operations Specialist (AI)

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 base annually, with potential additional equity or bonus compensation.

What you will do

• Run research operations using existing infrastructure and apply standard techniques to varied technical problems.
• Characterize neural network quality, failure modes, and edge cases using research data.
• Coordinate with researchers and communicate experiment status accurately.
• Manage many concurrent experiments and estimate timelines against deadlines.
• Review experimental results and recommend theoretical or process improvements.
• Write technical reports presenting qualitative and quantitative results to external audiences.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to colleagues and varied audiences.
• Introspection, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and sound judgment in complex situations.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field or at least five years of directly related experience.
• Experience reading research papers and implementing their techniques.
• Experience in computer vision and deep learning.
