Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Train, deploy, monitor, evaluate, and retrain automatic speech recognition models end to end.
• Improve pronunciation models that provide precise learner feedback.
• Create metrics to measure ASR performance across tasks and languages.
• Expand ASR systems to new languages and markets.
• Build and maintain training and evaluation datasets and labeling pipelines.
• Partner with Product teams to design learning experiences and measure the impact of production models on users.

Requirements

• Extensive experience training large models on GPUs and deploying custom deep learning models.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience owning ML pipelines from proof of concept through production.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong product sense and the ability to evaluate model quality in the context of user experience.
