Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote, North America

Annual US base salary: $150,000–$220,000, adjusted during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure for business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with Backend Engineering, Security, Data, and IT teams to make infrastructure reliable, secure, and easy to use.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using infrastructure as code.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive timely resolution.
• Maintain security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical infrastructure incidents.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP; AWS or Azure experience is transferable.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and Kubernetes.
• Strong Python programming skills and the ability to provision and debug diverse systems independently.
• Experience managing CI/CD systems and observability systems such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Technical range to learn and apply unfamiliar technologies quickly.
• Ability to work remotely from North America.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and/or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog and/or OpenTelemetry.
