Lead Infrastructure Engineer (GCP)

Location: Remote; travel to Los Angeles usually quarterly and for offsites

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Define the infrastructure vision and roadmap as an internal product for engineering teams.
• Build security, operational, and infrastructure foundations for sustainable growth.
• Improve reliability by reducing MTTR, establishing SLOs, and strengthening outage management.
• Develop platforms and tooling that help product engineers ship quickly and operate systems end-to-end.
• Write code and ship infrastructure directly while shaping technical strategy with the VP of Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a builder's mindset.
• Working knowledge across networking, security, observability, CI/CD, database operations, and containerization.
• Experience with consumer-facing, revenue-critical systems.

Nice to have

• Experience leading infrastructure evolution at a growing startup, ideally on a team with fewer than five infrastructure engineers.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments with limited structure.
