Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud/Kubernetes)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid with core office days Monday through Thursday

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 annual salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build a secure, stable, cost-effective infrastructure platform.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and third-party cloud services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Design and implement infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
• Improve the security, stability, performance, and scalability of distributed services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or software engineering.
• Strong experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Istio.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages, preferably Java or Python.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in highly distributed environments and proficiency with AI-powered development tools across the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial payments technology.
• Expertise in cloud networking.
• Experience with GCP technologies such as Spanner, BigQuery, Dataflow, or Pub/Sub.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
