Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), Zurich (AI)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; willingness to travel approximately two weeks per quarter for on-site customer work.

What you will do

• Embed with strategic customers to map complex data environments and identify high-friction workflows such as HR onboarding and IT support.
• Build proof-of-concept AI Agents and integrations using public APIs, webhooks, LLMs, and hirify.global Micro-Apps.
• Design middleware and custom connectors linking hirify.global AI with enterprise systems including SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow.
• Identify reusable integration patterns, contribute code to the core R&D platform, and create scalable Industry Vertical Packs.
• Develop integration templates, code snippets, and technical articles to support the wider developer ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI implementation and forward deployment.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
• Proficiency in Node, TypeScript, Java, or Python, with familiarity with React and backend API design.
• Experience or strong interest in Generative AI, RAG architecture, AI frameworks, and agentic workflows.
• Full professional proficiency in English and the ability to communicate complex technical challenges as clear business outcomes.
• Ability to self-prioritize in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and willingness to travel for customer engagements.

Nice to have

• Direct customer consulting and solution-design experience.
• Experience working in Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise identity frameworks such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or SAML.
