Senior or Principal Fullstack Engineer

Location: Seattle, Washington, USA; hybrid

Salary: $142,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Scope, develop, deploy, and continuously improve products based on customer feedback.
• Build and maintain web applications and tools for deploying and managing drone fleets responding to 911 calls.
• Develop scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native software using serverless or equivalent technologies.
• Build data-intensive applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering disciplines and public safety customers.
• Develop high-performance software for degraded network conditions and real-time video delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing feature-rich web applications using MERN, MEAN, LAMP, or an equivalent stack.
• Fluency in Node, JavaScript, or an equivalent frontend/server framework.
• Strong experience with RESTful or microservice-oriented development.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, lean team.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with encrypted data, SOC 2, CJIS, or ISO compliance.
• Experience with RTSP, WebRTC, or similar real-time video technologies.
• Familiarity with geospatial software such as Google Maps or Mapbox.
• Experience with edge or IoT-enabled devices.
