Product Manager - Transaction Monitoring (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define the roadmap for a transaction monitoring system transitioning from manual spreadsheets to automated, AI-native, rule-based, and ML-driven detection.
• Partner with Engineering on a scalable, low-latency real-time risk engine for high transaction volumes.
• Own core modules including rule engines, alert management, case investigation workflows, and SAR filing.
• Work with compliance and operations stakeholders and serve as the primary product contact for customer requirements, implementations, and adoption.
• Develop detection logic for emerging fraud patterns, reduce false positives, and evaluate third-party screening and identity verification providers.
• Consult with clients, deliver pre-sales demonstrations and product training, troubleshoot monitoring systems, and convert market feedback into roadmap improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in transaction monitoring, particularly in pre-sales, product consulting, or a client-facing technical role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong SQL and data visualization skills, with the ability to identify fraud indicators in data.
• Ability to discuss APIs, webhooks, and system latency with engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, customer-facing, and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn technologies and best practices in fraud risk and product management.

Nice to have

• CAMS or CFE certification.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management and Agile methodologies.
