Founding Product Manager for Credit & Risk Engineering (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with in-office collaboration days. Remote candidates within Canada may be considered, with occasional travel to Toronto.

What you will do

• Own the roadmap and sequencing for the Credit & Risk Engineering squad across infrastructure debt and the FlexLine decisioning engine.
• Own decisioning and automation systems supporting KYB/KYC approval speed and accuracy.
• Manage tooling for fraud detection, AML compliance, payments operations, and dispute resolution.
• Track and improve risk decision operating cost per account as the primary efficiency metric.
• Own in-app credit experiences including applications, balances, limits, and repayments.
• Define the boundary between the credit product roadmap and credit-engineering scope with the GM of Credit.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of credit underwriting or risk-decisioning outcomes.
• Experience building and owning infrastructure or internal-tooling products.
• Experience in compliance-heavy domains such as KYB/KYC, transaction monitoring, fraud, AML, payments operations, or disputes.
• Automation-first approach to decisioning and operational workflows.
• Experience sequencing roadmaps under capacity constraints and managing scope trade-offs.
• Ability to negotiate scope boundaries with senior stakeholders across credit, growth, and risk operations.
